I've got a finite amount of space to tell you about my background and who I am. I've also got a finite amount of your attention—and if you've read this far then I sincerely thank for spending some of your time learning about me.

I was born in silicon valley and grew up in San Jose before moving with my family to northern New Mexico. After seven years of chasing grades and after-school activies, I graduated high school and left for college.

Higher education consisted of a number of years at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, in the small town of Socorro just south of Albuquerque, NM. I've always had an interest in technology and engineering, and while I was in school I had a chance to toy around with software, robotics, and optics. By the time I was done, I graduated with degrees in CS and EE, with minors in Optics and Math.

After graduating, I started looking for my next big adventure. I started with a location more than any other criteria, and decided I wanted to head towards the Seattle area. I've long been attracted to its beauty and culture, and my first visit to the area sealed the deal: I loved the area for all the reasons I expected, and even more for the people. I've found the Pacific Northwest—more than any other place I've lived before—to be a place filled with people of sophistication, respect, humility, creativity, and nuance. I'm pleased to call this area my home.

I have a day job: I work as a professional software engineer, and spend my time building, refining, and maintaining software systems for one of the world's largest technology companies. The process of solving problems and creating solutions is something I enjoy immensely and find personally rewarding.

I've always dabbled a little bit in photography but got serious about it as an adult. Much like my engineering, I find the act of creating and producing visual imagery to be important and fulfilling. I specialize in documentary photography and environmental portraiture. I work in both digital and medium-format film, and produce images, fine-art photographic prints, and mixed-media art. I'm available for special projects and assignments.

Thank you for sticking with me. Please feel free to contact me for sales and any other questions.
